What do I bring to classes?

You will need to bring comfy clothes to wear.  Shorts and T-shirt are best as you will need a certain amount of skin exposed to grip the pole, but if you feel more comfy in tracky bottoms then thats fine.  You may want to wear these for the warm up and cool down anyway.  Trainers or bare feet, no heels allowed in classes.

Please bring a small hand towel as you may find your hands get sweaty.  Please do not apply any body lotions or oils before a class as it will make you and the pole slippery which can be dangerous to yourself and others.

Please remove jewellery before the class starts as it may scratch either you or the pole.

What do I bring to parties?

The same rules apply as above, although for parties you may want to dress up and you are permitted to wear boots or shoes to get you in the party mood!

How old do I have to be?

You must be at least 17 years old to take part in a class or party.  There is no upper age limit!

Do I need to be really fit, slim and young?

Absolutely not!  Pole fitness is suitable for anyone, of any age and any level of fitness.  Classes are structured so you work at your own pace and to your own ability. Your fitness levels and strength will progress as you advance through the levels, obviously different people will advance at diferent rates and you can stay at whichever level you feel comfortable with. You will never be made to do anything harder than you can manage.

Will I have to strip?

Absolutely not! There is no stripping involved in either classes or parties.

Is it really hard work?

You will find you are using muscles that you maybe haven't used before, so it can be a tough workout to start with.  You will find that you ache for a few days, and often you will experience a small amount of bruising, so have plenty of arnica cream handy!
